Michaela Mericle graduated from Mercer University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English and a minor in Latin. She obtained her law degree from the Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law, and was admitted to practice law in Georgia in 2011.
During her time as an undergraduate and law student, Michaela worked for a solo practitioner who exclusively practiced in the area of family law. The five years of family law experience that Michaela received prior to graduating from law school prepared her for her career as a family law attorney, an area in which she has now been practicing exclusively since her 2011 admittance to the bar.
Prior to beginning her career at Stern and Edlin in March of 2014, Michaela worked for a large firm in Cobb County where she litigated and tried family law cases focused on a multitude of issues including adoptions, custody disputes, modifications, divorces, and even venturing into the juvenile court realm of deprivation and termination cases. Michaela’s immense trial experience during her short tenure as a family law attorney has given her experience well beyond her years.
Michaela is a member of the Young Lawyers Division, Family Law Division, and she takes an active role in her Brookhaven community. Michaela volunteers with the Atlanta Humane Society as well as Trees Atlanta.
