Alyssa joined Stern & Edlin Family Law, P.C. in May 2021. Alyssa practices exclusively in the area of Family Law where she has historically focused her practice on cases involving domestic violence and contentious divorce and custody issues.
Originally from Kennesaw, Georgia, Alyssa earned a BBA in Business Management at the University of Georgia and later attended law school at Georgia State University, where she graduated with the highest distinction for her pro bono efforts. In law school, Alyssa also participated in the Health Law Partnership between Georgia State University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where she assisted low-income families in navigating the legal hurdles associated with obtaining much needed social security benefits for their children. Her work in the Health Law Partnership is where she first mastered the ability to be a fierce and zealous advocate for her clients.
Her clients benefit greatly from Alyssa’s compassion, persistence, attention to detail, and her ability to take practical approaches to resolving even the most contentious cases. Alyssa honed these skills while interning with the DeKalb Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, which is where she discovered her passion for family law while helping clients obtain Temporary Protective Orders and other family law matters.
Alyssa lives in Atlanta and when she is not working, she loves to travel and spend her time exploring the Beltline and all the incredible restaurants that the city has to offer.
